In game clock/timer?
I was wondering if they have a way to tell the actual time while in the GW screen, and also a timer to clock how long it takes to do something..(By this i don't mean /age, as it is not accurate depending on certain situations)
And if they don't have this, is there a way to be able to display any of it?
Thanks.

Anddd, how much energy does it take to minimize the screen and look at time on taskbar? Orrr just look on a nearby clock? But good idea for those etremly lazy people.

How much energy would it take? Probably as much as it would take to look at a small clock in the UI. What's your point? Minimizing the game risks disconnects, lag, etc. It's annoying as hell, especially if you have to watch the clock, and implementing a clock would likely be fairly easy. What's the problem? Please, if you know your just going to flame, then refrain from posting. Also, no clock in the game I'm afraid.

Not really a matter of lazy, more or less just can't close screen mid battle. And also it usually lags when i close and reopen. So itd be a nice little add on

We had one of these as a command in Y!PP. It would display the time wherever the servers were (San Francisco I think).
Would be a nice addition, especially if you make it a set time for ANet's servers. It would be quite handy for events, less people spamming local every minute with their "how long till event?".
As for your original question, no there's not.
And for the "you're so lazy" complains, just go to Sardelac and watch the "put map travel to friends" and other extremely lazy ideas full of "/signeds".
That said, /signed for clock in GW.

The only benefit this would have would be during events where there is a universal GW clock (i.e. not set to personal time, but the time that ANet decides to use) so that people will know the exact time an event starts.
This might reduce the spam during holiday events for "When is XXXX coming?" and "How long til the hat?"
But there is no such clock, and no real need for it. It would just make something that is 5-ish times a year easier.

Maybe both? For example "/time Server Time: XX:XX Local Time: XX:XX" And you could set it to 12 and 24 hour time modes in the options menu.

I like that. Itd be a lot more simple, and Im sure it wouldnt be that hard to implement.

I reduce the screen so just the task bar is showing. That way the clock is there at all times. And if any auto popups (viral scans, e-mails, etc..) I can stop them or not do anything important in the game till they are done. It would be cool if they added a bit of Lore with a special time system for GW.

This has been suggested before..(it does kinda get old saying that :P )
However, I would /sign this if it would mean not having to answer what time it is and how long till the next festival time starts. Halloween event is coming up soon.
Even that timer/clock has been suggested before. (am I hearing and echo?)

indeed, when events start the chat gets filled with people asking when the next thing is etc, this would certainly fix this. and checking the clock on your computer really makes my game laggy thus it would be nice to have an ingame one.

You can always use the ingame overlay clock that Xfire lets you use. Its probably the only reason I use Xfire is for the clock.

Beat me to that suggestion.
If I don't have Xfire running, I'll just check the time on my mobile, which sits nicely to the side of my keyboard.

No idea what Xfire is. And I really so no negative effect in this suggestion. Also, it doesnt affect your gameplay at all. It just makes it a tad more convenient
Btw ty for moving thread.

It is like a gamers MSN. It is a program that records how long and what game you are currently playing. In games with servers your friends can join by just clicking on your name and join server.

The really is no point when there are applications out there such as xfire and playxpert that offer this feature among many others for pretty much every modern game.
"No idea what Xfire is." is not a valid arguement. from this suggestion we know you are lazy but the only answer i can give here is "find out". You are on a computer already. The resources are there. Use them.

Personally I run a clean ship, and don't want to install dozens of useless and bandwidth-and-memory-stealing apps. Like xfire or msmessenger.
